The material you are trying to map does not include the necessary phases set as Calculation Prerequisites in the Project Settings. Please use a different material or add these phases to the material: C3, D
The material I want to use is - Paint, epoxy-based for interior use for floors.
Is it possible for you to add the phases to the material?
As the enviromental data you are using doesnt have the appropiate modules for your chosen calculation method, you need to supplement this information. You can do this by creating a custom EPD with the missing modules, and adding this to the LCA, thus making sure your LCA calculation is adequate.
The following information is assuming you’re doing LCA according to danish rules.
in BR18 " Bygningsreglementets vejledning om bygningers klimapåvirkning, chapter 1.6" it says in case of an EPD not containing modules C3 and/or C4, you are allowed to use the generic data from “Tabel 7, Bekendtgørelse om ændring af bekendtgørelse om bygningsreglement 2018 (BR18)” of an appropiate material for modules C3 and/or C4 to supplement the original EPD’s missing modules. Furthermore if there also aren’t any data for module D, then the value is set to 0 as an conservative approach.
In Tabel 7 the material “ETICS-limning og belægning af syntetisk harpikspuds” (also in the RTLCA library) seems like epoxy flooring. This material has the value 0 for module C3.
This means that the value of module C3 and D has to be 0. Which it effectively is with the current EPD you are using, so you actually dont need to add anything to make an adequate calculation according to danish rules.
