Changelog: Denmark BR18 2025 Compliance & More

Hi @Community

This release marks a major milestone in Real-Time LCA’s journey—with new national regulation support, powerful workflow features, and under-the-hood enhancements inspired by your feedback.

Let’s explore what’s new:

:denmark: Full Support for BR18 2025 – Leading the Way in Denmark

We’re proud to be the first platform to fully support the new Danish Building Regulation BR18 2025. This is a massive leap for regulatory compliance:

  • :abacus: New Calculation Type: Select BR18 2025 in Calculation Prerequisites to have the correct threshold auto-set based on building type and total area.

  • :fire: Updated Emission Factors: Aligned with BR18 2025 requirements.

  • :recycling_symbol: Waste Mapping Overhaul: Table 11 implemented—generic data for construction waste treatment.

  • :articulated_lorry: Transport Mapping Update: Table 8.2 (fuel emission factors) and Table 10 (energy consumption for A4/A5 modules) now included.

:inbox_tray: Better Excel Integration

Managing large datasets just got easier:

  • New & Improved Excel Template: Cleaner structure, more comprehensive fields.
  • Update via Upload: You can now update existing quantities simply by re-uploading an Excel file—no more manual matching.

:building_construction: BIM & Material Enhancements

  • New Categories: Slab Edges and Entourage are now supported in calculations.
  • Re-imported IBU.data: Our database stays fresh and trustworthy.

:globe_showing_europe_africa: More Indicators for Swedish Projects

  • Added support for:
    • AP: Acidification Potential
    • PERE: Renewable Primary Energy (excl. feedstock)
    • FW: Net Fresh Water Use

Making your Swedish project documentation even more robust.

:light_bulb: Other Noteworthy Improvements

  • Projects Grid Layout: Cleaner, more readable overview.
  • AddMaterial API: Now accepts arrays for smoother integrations.
  • Language Switcher: Available in Profile Settings—choose what works best for you.

:brick: EPDs, EPDs, EPDs!

As always, we’ve added tons of new EPDs based on your requests. Browse or suggest more here:

Hi guys!

Good work with the new implementation! :flexed_biceps:

I noticed however, that you have removed the option to enter transort emissions based on transportation type and -distance. Would it be possible to add this feature again? I imagine that we will be using a combination of the BR18 standard values AND custom input for transportation in the future :+1:

Hi @MarkLabrosse

I am just gonna throw a curved ball towards @Mads_Ditlevsen on this one, since that methodology only applies to the lavemission-klasse as I understand it and is therefore not applicable for the new updated BR18 2025 regulations.
I know Mads is taking a small break this week, but will be back already next week.

No, there is no difference in the method for BR18 or lavemissionsklassen other than the thresholds.

Bygningsreglementets vejledning om bygningers klimapåvirkning section 1.7 gives the 3 following possible methods for mapping transport.

But taking a further look at the guide text, I can see that the method isn’t the same as your old method.

In your old method, you would say:

Driven distance * Cargo weight * Emission factor for transport type,

where the emission factors for the transport types was given from Oekobaudat.

In method (1) transport emissions can either be measured OR you can calculate as

Driven distance * Emission factor from Table 8.2
