Generic kg CO2e/unit value

Hello

I have not been able to get an EPD on a product, but the supplier has sent me a generic kg CO2e/unit value. I know that in LCAByg you are able to put in this value without the need for filling out the EPD fields. Is this possbile in Real-Time LCA also?

My advice would be not to do that. It is only allowed to use generic data (GaBi, Oekobau, BR18 Tabel 7, etc.) or EPD’s. It is positive that manufacturers make LCA calculations for their own products - that is the first step to understanding your product. But LCA data needs to be third party verified - in other words, they need to buy an EPD.

So it doesn’t matter if you use RTLCA or LCAbyg. Creating your own material using the data you’ve received is not allowed :grimacing:
