Great, thanks! It’s interesting though, that this entry (Plannja Infinity) automatically has a life expectancy of 50 years, when I had myself to enter an expected service life for DS Stålprofil Profiled Steel Sheets and Coverings – Precoated , which was already in the library (40 years for steel as surface on a roof according to the Danish table for expected service life). I suppose it depends on differences in the EPD’s? It does give Plannja a big advantage in the comparison.

Thanks for raising the question.
In general is it always the official lifetime tables that is the source of truth in regards to expected service life. Eventhuogh there is an RSL in the EPD it is not always the correct value to use:)
When talking about comparissons then - at least in RTLCA - we compare the total emissions for the life cycle stages of a certain declared unit. Here the service life is not taken into consideration. This happens only when you use the EPD in a project or a construction.

Thanks for chipping in. Is there a way for me to change the expected service life of a material, when a value is already assigned, in this case for the Plannja-product?

We upload all EPDs with the values and metadata as declared within the EPD itself. So if you would like to change the RSL (or any other value) within the EPD, you can do so by cloning it. This will create an editable copy within your organisation that you can utilise for your projects.
