# Description/comment on materials/types

Hi

We have made a LCA calculation on a project because we can understand the result made from an external consultant. In that process we have added question and comments for a lot of constructions and material. Is it possible to extract those in anyway, e.g. to an excel?

This is currently only through the REST API, which is documented here:

Specifically you are looking for the `{{lcabaseUrl}}/Mapping/buildingproject/:id/materials?byType=true` endpoint.
